PSI embraces a diverse array of speakers on timely issues. Additionally, research has shown that healthy normative religious practices are often associated with better coping, and less depression, isolation, suicide, anxiety and substance use. But that is changing as research supports the benefits of holistic approaches to mental health. Traditionally, many therapists have shied away from discussing religion and the spiritual dimension of the psyche because they felt out of their depth and wary of wading into ministry. PSI’s annual Conference, our largest public event, is designed to inspire dialogue, raise awareness, and build a community of professionals interested in the intersection between spirituality and psychotherapy. is recognized by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services as an approved provider of continuing education for credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselors #1153.
